Erol and Tiga? Gary Barlow and MNEK? Derek Davies and Starsmith?
Truth is, nobody knows anything about the identity of Monarchy or any other information that's not given up on their Myspace.
What I do know however, is that this track is completely addictive and can be played on repeat for hours until it turns in to some sort of subliminal hypnosis.
In the immortal words of Neil Buchanan "Try it yerself?!".
Monarchy - Gold In The Fire (Demo) (YSI)
7 Voicemails:
sounds cool but artwork is really bad... plus i had enough of bands using the anonymous trick... monarchy also use the universe, planets background that reminds me of empire of the sun and that annoying swedish band managed by big life management the sound of arrows...
Derek Davis & Starsmith would be a hotlikefya combo and you know it.
it's clearly me and Starsmith.
"RT @neongoldrecords: check out my new space disco side project with @starsmiff: http://www.myspace.com/monarchysound"
Neon Gold is clearly a naughty lying liar.
Monarchy seem to be a mixture of recent artists that use space, synth pop as their theme. This is bloody good though!
It's definitely not Derek Davies though I'm sure he would love it to be.
I'm Brighton's breeziest blog and have your excellent blog on my blogroll. Any chance of reciprocation? We share a lot of ideals. ie cool taste and good writing etc.
(Plus I married a Sheffield girl)
